Q. How do I sign up?
A. Just continue to checkout and select Afterpay as your payment option or visit portal.afterpay.com/login-email to create your account.
Q. Who can use Afterpay?
A. Any NZ resident over 18 with a valid debit or credit card.
Q. How much can I spend with Afterpay?
A. Afterpay's automated system considers a number of different factors. As an example, the longer you have been a customer with Afterpay and the more orders you have successfully repaid, the more likely you will be able to spend more. Restrictions are tighter for 'new' customers (first 6 weeks) until Afterpay get to know you. Whilst this can be frustrating not knowing exactly how much you can spend each time, the rules and approval process help Afterpay responsibly offer a completely free service to our customers. The good news is that each time you use Afterpay they are making a fresh decision, and over time you will be able to spend more so long as you continue to repay your instalments on time.
Q. How do I return my order?
A. Simply return your items to Superette as normal. Our team will process the refund for your online order through the Afterpay platform and we will credit the funds to your nominated debit or credit card and adjust or cancel your payment schedule as necessary.
Q. Is there anything else I should know?
A If you have not made the payment before the due date, and the automatic payment fails, you have until 11pm (AEDT in the summer months and AEST in the winter months) the following day to make payment. After 11pm the following day, if that payment has not been made, you will incur a late payment fee of $10 and a further late fee of $7 if the payment is not made within 7 days (as stated in the Afterpay Terms).
Q. Is Afterpay available in stores?
A. It sure is! Just make sure you have downloaded the Afterpay App on your device. This creates a barcode that our staff in store will be able to scan to make your purchase. Easy!
Q. Can I use Afterpay on Sale items?
A. Yes, you can, but please be aware, if you wish to return the item, all Sale items are only eligible for store credit. Superette therefore will credit you the full amount for your return, but you will need to continue to complete your Afterpay payments for the item for the duration of the 4 fortnightly payments.
Q. What if the item is over $1000?
A. To be eligible for Afterpay the total cost of the booking cannot exceed $1000
Afterpays placed in store can only be returned for a store credit or exchange and are not eligible for a refund.
